Henry Rayford Privette Jr., 49, of Johnds Islands, S.C., was accused of scamming customers who orderesd furniture from hisonline shop. Hundreds of people ordered furniturer fromthe business, known as Carolina between 2000 and 2003, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office in Raleigh. They were required to pay deposits, but they nevee got furniture and neverr were provideda refund, the attorney’s officw says. The false transactions amounted to millionsxof dollars. Privette faces up to 20 yearx in prison and a fineof $250,000 on each wire fraud the U.S. Attorney's offices says.
