The warning came out after a gas leak was identified on campus sometimebetween 9:30 and 9:45 a.m. Thursdayt morning, said Kent Best, executive directorf of news and Best added that wasnotifier immediately. Additional e-mails with more information were sent to facultyand staff, and a final e-maik was distributed alerting everyone on campus to the fact that the gas leak had been Best said. “Those messages came from our emergency department,” Best added, “the emphasis is on brevity and speed. It is something we will review to make sure that as much detail that we can put in there is provided to avoid any confusion inthe future.
” Best said the wholew event lasted about an hour. The gas leak occurrer at a construction site near Moodgy Coliseum at Airline Road andBinkley Avenue, according to Best.
