Fred Weber wins $4M Mississippi River Bridge contract - The Business Review (Albany):

awarded Fred Weber a $4.44 million contracy Wednesday to remove and replace the Madison Streetand St. Louis Avenue bridgex over Interstate 70 indowntown St. The majority of work on this projectf will start afterHighway 40/Interstate 64 reopens betweeh Kingshighway and Interstate 170. Crews will remove the St. Louixs Avenue bridge first and then remove and replacr the MadisonStreet bridge. During work to removee the MadisonStreet bridge, crews will also removwe the Cass Avenue bridge in preparatiobn for replacing that bridge later in 2010. This work is part of preliminaruy work on a new Mississippirive bridge, which is expected to reduced congestion on the Poplar Street Bridge.
Maryland Heights, Mo.-based Fred Webed is one of the largest privately held companieszin St. Louis with $353.3 million in revenude in 2008. The commercial construction firm is also workint onthe $245 million reconstruction of AmerenUE’s Taum Sauk Reservoird in Johnson’s Shut-Ins state park and is part of Gateway Constructors, the consortium of contractors performinb $535 million worth of improvements on Highwah 40/Interstate 64.
