Turney is the lighting designerat (LBD), a full-serviced lighting company he started with his wife, in September 2007. LBD provides distinctive fixtures for residentia l andcommercial projects.
The staff works directly with builders, designers and their clients to accomplish their goal of bringing concepts to lifethroughy illumination. Some of the builderzs or architects LBD has worked with includer BurdickCustom Homes, Ray Stadler Custom A-Design by and Catherine Nored Architecture. “Whej we tell people about the we want toilluminate them,” says Sonia Garcia, lighting consultant at LBD. “We’re all about inspiring.” This all startzs with the initial consultation with theprojecr owner.
During this time Turney and his stafdf decide the lifestyle of the customer and what lighting needsw would best fit around their way of They look for things from general and task lightinfg to specialty art andindirect lighting. Then they manipulate the plan to give the electrical contractor the documentatiobn that is required to complete the job tothe specifications. Once the job is LBD provides onsite project management to help the contractor overcome the hurdles that arise onevery job, for example, from what productt to use and where to place that Once the electrical portion is finished, LBD provides the customert with a plan, showing how the finished productg will look.
The custome then meets with LBD’s interior designerz to select the perfect fixtures to complement thelightint design. Once the product is deliveredfand installed, LBD will do a final walk-through to make sure all of the componentse are in the correct place and properlyh lamped. “We are always looking for ways to improve our proceses to give the best possible experience to our Turney says. “We want to be the best at takinyg care ofthat high-end client.” Bill owner of real estate development company CRCP LLC, believes they have livee up to being the best of taking care of theier clients truly keeping a client’a interest in the project at heart.

” Turney grew up in the lightintg business, as his parent s own a lighting business here called Turney He would work there in the summers sweepingv the warehouse, moving boxes around and hanginfg fixtures on display. By the time he was in high schoolk he was runningthe warehouse.
