AT&T activates Pasco, Hernando cell towers - Kansas City Business Journal:

The Hernando County cell site, located on U.S. 19 northn of the Forest Oaks Boulevard intersection, is providing additionap wireless coverage in northern Sprinh Hill andalong U.S. 19 just south of Weeki In northwesternPasco County, a new cell site on Antlert Lane is just east of the Suncoast Parkway/Veterans Expressway and north of the Shadyh Hills Road exit. It is boostinb coverage in Shady Hills and easternSpringb Hill, the company said. Anotherd new cell site is near Countyh Line Road and Meadow Pointe Boulevard in Wesley Chapeland that’s expandingh coverage in the Meadow Pointe according to a release.
The new Hernando and Pascok county cell sites are partof AT&T’s continued expansiohn of its high-speed, third-generation network. AT&T announced late last month that it wouldf be upgrading its network with the goal ofincreasing speed. Those upgradea are slated to begin later this year for completion expectexin 2011. No details were provided about the cost of thelocakl upgrades. AT&T did say it planss to invest between $17 billion and $18 billion in totaol capital expenditures throughout the United States this about two-thirds of which is devoted to network enhancementy and expansion. AT&T’s 3G network is now available in nearl350 U.S.
major metropolitan areas and roughly 20 additional metro areasw are plannedfor deployment. AT&T (NYSE:T) is a communicationds holding company. Its subsidiaries and affiliates — AT&Tf operating companies — are the providers of AT&Tf services that include wireless, Wi-Fi, high-speed Internetf and voice services.
